@Caiotekit It was good enough that I ate more than was wise with the oversalted gravy. About to try again. I made a gravy with barely diluted better than bouillon, what was I thinking, was I thinking, but it could be really good for something other than drowning your cheesy potatoes with. I heard someone order eggs, fries, and gravy in a new york diner once and my life was changed

@Caiotekit The biggest "problem" I have with frying potatoes like this is that they all cook at different times, and I tend to keep eating them instead of saving them for gravy or whatever. It's a problem I can live with.

@sunumbral I was wondering about that better than bouillonβ¦ now I knowβ¦too salty. You could try broth..like canned broth. Thatβs how my daughter makes gravy. You can never go wrong with cheese and potatoes.
