Early November and we're flying from Reykjavik in the south-west of #Iceland to Akureyri in the north-east.
The air was crisp and clear, and the landscape was covered in icy snow.
As the plane crossed over Langjökull, we saw the #volcanic #tuya Eiríksjökull¹ (1675m/5495ft) below.
Strong winds blowing across the summit were creating mountain waves, lovely standing clouds rippling in the lee of the peak.¹ 𝘼𝙚𝙚-𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘬𝘴-𝘺𝘶𝘩-𝘬𝘵𝘭
