I know this is going to start a fight, lol
Simple enough, what would be your main day-to-day Operating System?
Mine is currently Linux (endeavourOS) for all my day-to-day stuff.
And I only switch to Windows for gaming. This post is deleted! -

Thanks to valve and Proton there is not really a need to switch to windows anymore.
The only exception: multiplayer games that use root-kit anti-cheat software like vanguard

And I only switch to Windows for gaming.@padraig bsd. not the one that macos is based on, but the one macos is BASED ON is made by a pretty outstanding group of people. im no fan of immutable distributions, and i know how many hoops you have to jump through to change something. yes i know, its a feature.

i think its BETTER to fight about this than not to, the problem is that at least 95% of the fights are going to be stupid and miss the point of doing it. it brings a whole new meaning to "choose your battles". people would be less tired of fighting if everyone did it only for the right reasons.

@theaeon@infosec.exchange I would mostly be in the same boat. While I don’t play most of the games that have root-kit anti-cheat software, there are mods for certain games which are hard to get working on Linux (Namely ‘TruckersMP’ for Euro Truck Simulator 2)
But I am very grateful for the Valve’s work on Proton. It has been a game changer! (pun very much intended)

@__j5s7__@mastodon.social Are you even a ‘user’ if you’re not distro-hopping?
