There was a tenacious strip of clouds low on the Easten horizon (because of course). Just at the end of totality the Moon began to rise above it. Which meant improvising the composition, but considering conditions pictures came out decent. #mondfinsternis #mofi #lunarEclipse #FotoMontag

Observing conditions were bad at our place and we could only see the total eclipse for few minutes; once the Moon was high enough in the sky. However, I did a time lapse video while the Moon was still in the penumbra.#lunareclipse

Eine Mondfinsternis zu fotografieren, ist mit mehr Sorgfalt verbunden, als wenn eins sonst den Mond fotografiert.Durch die stetig ändernden Lichtverhältnisse muss zum Beispiel die Aufnahmedauer angepasst werden. Hier habe ich angefangen mit einer 1 Sekunde und bin dann nach und nach runter auf 1/400 - wegen der zunehmenden Helligkeit würde sonst die Aufnahme überbelichtet werden.

Here's how (the first partiality of) yesterday's Total #LunarEclipse looked from the #ISS: https://x.com/zenanaut/status/1965103852438306993 - they don't have space-facing windows so they could get the Moon only just next to the Earth ... here so close that the latter's atmosphere is distorting the lower part of the Moon by #refraction.
