So, let us summarise today’s events related to the intrusion of approximately 20 (at least) Russian drones into Polish territory… Our Polish F-16s and Dutch F-35s took charge of the air contact and carried out the order to shoot down some of them. The first centre (in Poland) that initially supervised, monitored the situation and guided the fighter jets was German radars and two German Patriot batteries located at the Jesionka-Rzeszów airport. German Patriot batteries were put on high alert and, in the event of an escalation, were to take on the task of opening fire on incoming targets that could not be shot down by fighter jets. The initial coordinates of the flying drones were provided by the Ukrainian air defence forces. Broad radar surveillance from the air and real-time transmission of situational data was carried out by an Italian AWACS early warning aircraft. Due to the fact that a large group of F-16 and F-35 aircraft had to spend a lot of time in the air, a Dutch Airbus A330 tanker (MRTT) was urgently brought in from Rotterdam. it is not very realistic to think that the drone incursions into Poland were accidental if you look at their flight paths.
