@wesdym -- There is a particular trick I learned from playing the 1980's role-playing game, Paranoia.There is a skill called "Spurious Logic" and the masterful use of it is establishing an innocent (but FALSE) connection and then build logically from there to an end conclusion that is your the real act you are justifying, while having a LONG chain of logic behind it...
