It was bugging me for years now that Spotify pays the artists basically no money. That *should* have been enough for me to switch streaming services, but i was too lazy.
Now with the CEO investing in warfare technology, there is no more excuse to stay -

iSwitched to Apple Music back in April (sorry for the bad i pun xD) when I got 3 months for free and while it does some things differently, it also has many additional features like included meta tagging on the Desktop and even a light mode when you use the system in light mode! Spotify doesn't even have this basic accessibility feature.
And for 11€ a month, it's fine. Also focussed on music and not on so many other things like podcasts or other crap thrown at the wall to see what sticks.
I've read it pays artists better than Spotify, but I also keep buying CDs

@Deepseacreatur3 What that also doesn't show is that Spotify only pays if an artist gets a certain number of streams (per year, IIRC). So if you're into niche artists, there's a nontrivial probability that even the rightsholder, much less the artist, gets *nothing*.
(I put the agreement between the rightsholder / label and the artist in the "can't do anything about that part" bucket, but I can *at least* use a streaming service that provides a quality experience and pays out more.)
