My parents gave me a Duke Ellington jazz album when I was in my teens. Duke who? Jazz? What’s that? When I played it my jaw dropped and life changed. The song Caravan became an instant favorite - it was so different than anything I heard on the radio in the 1970s! And thus started a lifelong quest to find beautifully different sounds outside the mainstream top 40. -
