Do not confuse "I didn't vote for this" with some sort of return to common sense by MAGA conservatives. It may be tempting to read "I didn't vote for this" and think, wrongly, that this is a return to reality-based decision making. You could be forgiven by thinking, now that the Titanic has struck the iceberg and the ship is full of holes and filling with water, that these are people who, in hindsight, regret voting for slamming the boat directly into it. Wrong. These people aren't against holes in the boat. These are people who have been promised liferafts and are upset they aren't getting one.
