Update on selling the old place. These first time home buyers are going to drive me nuts. We're in that post-inspection renegotiation phase. We've been SUPER accommodating, but they are pressing the limits. Now, suddenly, they want the chicken coop* and run? removed. This was part of the listing, and the first we're hearing of it!

We just found a box of things that I assumed had been long lost. Like a bunch of useful/good/important stuff that we’ve been looking for, for five years. 🫠

Yay to have found it. But also, boo so late in the game. It was an “office box” that lived in the garage for half a decade. Haaaa

Ended up working a 10-hour day on three more loads, plus various cleanup. We got stuff off the front lawn but our back yard is ROUGH. Driveway, too.

Another two loads to the dump (one already loaded) and a very small load of rando yard stuff to this place and we are DONE with the old place. Whew!

@vwdasher street legal, yes! Not for highways as top speed is 35 and I’m told it’s quite a thrill at that speed.

This one needs a lot of love so can’t register it at the moment. But amazingly I pay zero personal property tax on it here in MO due to some weird classic car exemption

@vwdasher surprisingly available parts. Not everything but a lot of components shared with golf carts and cushman stuff. Most folks replace the electronics with modern golf cart stuff that was my plan too

Today we moved the classic EV that someday I’ll fix up, I hope… Maybe.

But first we had to source new tires because the old ones were flat and blew as soon as I put a few pounds of air in them. And there was no way it was moving without round tires

Harbor freight trailer tires aren’t quite right, but the bolt pattern matched. ‍️
