I'm repeatedly struck by how clearly Odin seems to have a sense of gratitude. When I give him his meals, he very often makes a point of jumping up on me for a quick hug before eating it – I did not teach him to do this. Just now, I put my own leftovers in his bowl, and after he ate them, he absolutely stormed across the house at full power to leap at me and flatten me with cuddles.
