Added Matomo Analytics

Analytics are important to measure what parts users are and (more imporantly) not using. We are using Matomo, an alternative to Google Analytics that is being self-hosted by myself on my own server..

What is 39's mission?

Our mission is to create a community for everyone that wants to get away from the 'noise' of politics, racism, transphobia and more that is seen online and on TV every single day.

We are here to talk technology, gaming, music and other forms of media while also being a place to have a casual chat.

Everyone is treated with respect, and we hope the same can be returned.

This thread is to serve as a documented changelog for everyone for transparency purposes.
There will be changes that are not documented here (i.e. backend changes for administrators/moderators that doesn't impact users)

• Warner Bros has cancelled a planned Hogwarts Legacy DLC and Definitive Edition, as part of the restructuring at Warner Bros. They were never announced. There is a sequel to Hogwarts Legacy in the works.
• Ubisoft is creating a new subsidiary company in partnership with Tencent. It is valued at ~€4 billion and includes IPs such as Assassin's Creed, FarCry and Rainbow Six. Tencent is paying €1.16 billion for a 25% stake in the company.
• Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is coming to mobile on April 14th
• An image in the new NintendoToday app has revealed new images of the Nintendo Switch 2 which includes a C button on the right joy-con.
• On the information page regarding the new 'Virtual Game Card' system coming to Nintendo Switch in April, it is revealed that Switch 1 games will get enhanced Switch 2 editions.
• Crystal Dynamics (Tomb Raider) has announced that 17 employees at the studio have been laid off. It is not clear what departments the employees were part of.

All games are coming out Nintendo Switch 1. The special Nintendo Switch 2 Direct is happening on Tuesday at 2pm UK/Ireland time.

• Dragon Quest 1-2 HD-2D Remake is coming later this year.
• No Sleep for Kaname Date: AI Somnium Files has been announced. Releasing July 25th
• Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of The Soulless Army has been announced. Releasing June 19th.
• Shadow Labyrinth releasing on July 18th
• Patapon 1+2 Replay coming to switch on July 11th. [Also coming to PS5 and Steam]
• Story of Season - Grand Bazaar releasing August 27th
• Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is releasing later this year.
• Disney Villains Cursed Café will be available later today.
• Witchbrook is releasing this winter.
• The Eternal Life of Goldman is releasing this winter.
• Gradius Origins (with Salamander III) is releasing August 7th [Also coming to PS5, Xbox Series S|X and Steam]
• Rift of the NecroDancer is coming to Nintendo Switch today!
• Tamagotchi Plaza releasing on June 27th.
• Pokémon Legends Z-A will be releasing late 2025.
• Rhythm Heaven Groove has been announced. Will release in 2026.
• Saga Frontier 2 Remastered is out today.
• Monument Valley 1 & 2 coming to Nintendo Switch on April 15th. Monument Valley 3 is coming later this summer.
• Everybody's Golf Hot Shots has been announced. Coming to Switch later this year. [Also coming to Steam and PS5]
• Marvel Cosmic Invasion is coming later this year.
• Tomodachi Life - Living the Dream** has been announced. Coming 2026.
• A new 'Nintendo Today' app has been released with news and content relating to Nintendo is released today.
• 'Virtual Game Card' has been announced by Nintendo. This allows you to share your digital games with up to 2 family members that have been set up. Coming in April. [Very similar to the Steam Family Sharing]

• A new version of Nexus Mods App is coming which includes the ability to mod games such as Stardew Valley, Cyberpunk 2077, Baldur's Gate 3 and Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord on Linux & Steam Deck.
• Assassin's Creed Shadows sold more physical copies within 1 week than Star Wars Outlaws did in 3 months in the UK.
• According to insider sources, Assassin's Creed Shadows has become the series' 2nd biggest launch behind Assassin's Creed Valhalla
• Gaming news website and magazine GameInfomer is back after it was purchased by German game developer of Off The Grid. The site and magazine was closed in June 2024 after GameStop discontinued. The entire staff that was at GameInformer at the time of shut down has returned and will be editorially independent.
• A new gaming news website with more of a focus on the industry/business side of things has been opened by Geoff Keighley (Summer Games Fest, The Game Awards) and former editor of GamesIndustry.biz, Christopher Dring. Called TheGameBusiness.com
• CD Projekt Red (The Witcher, Cyberpunk 2077) is teaming with Scopely for a new mobile game based on an existing IP. Which IP? No one knows as yet. Scopely recently acquired Niantic (Pokémon GO)
• InZOI, the new Sims rival, has become Steam most wish listed game.
• Warner Bros San Diego was reportedly making a racing game based on Warner Bros. IP's such as Tom & Jerry and Adventure Time. The game was being developed around the same time that Multiversus was being released, closed, released again and then closed. Warns Bros. San Diego was closed at the end of February.
• Indiana Jones & The Great Circle is releasing on PS5 on April 17th. The video features the voice actor for Indiana Jones, Troy Baker and Uncharted's Nolan North. Trailer
• After initially not being included in the upcoming game, Tony Hawk demanded Activision to put Bam Margera into the new Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4 that is set to release on July 11th.
• A new side-story game for God of War set in Greece is set to release later this year.
• Vampire: the Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 has been delayed until October 2025.
• GeoGuessr, the browser-based competitive version of Google Maps, is releasing on Steam next month.
• The Nintendo Switch 2 is apparently releasing in June with a 3-phase plan. Dev kits are expected in June
  • 1st: Primarily 1st party (Nintendo) games at launch.
  • 2nd: 3rd party studio titles in October to November
  • 3rd: Games to release around the holidays.
• Among Us is getting a Yakuza/ Like a Dragon collaboration from March 26th to June 24th.
