Have confidence to write authentically as yourself. Then if a publisher wants a statement that you didn't use AI, you can give one truthfully.

@petealexharris Also, some of the "non-essential" parts is exactly what gives a story character and life.Stripping out the non-essentials might possibly make sense for a purely factual work; but let's be honest, a math textbook wouldn't be very helpful if all it contained was formulas, theorems and lemmas. For *creative* writing, it would strip the work of most everything that would make a person *want* to read it; and similarly with non-written works.#WritersCoffeeClub
